No, it doesn't get any better than that. We had a hand-holding moment ourselves today. You know how you spend the first year of their walking lives FORCING them to hold your hand in parking lots, crossing the street etc. Then all of a sudden, one day, they can't be in the vicinity of cars without holding a hand? Well, we had that moment today when Cailin insisted on holding my hand AND her brother's. Wasn't she just having a meltdown yesterday b/c she didn't want to hold his hand? Yet you must hold it just the right way...oh, the strong-willed child!
Messy and wonderful perfectly describes my life as a wife and mom of five. I'm passionate about advocating for orphans by telling their stories and encouraging adoption and orphan care. My schedule is messy and wonderful as I am charged with four sons and one daughter. We love living in our little mountain ski town. We do a little camping, a little skiing, a little hunting, and a lot of laughing and loving. Life is dirty and loud around here but we wouldn't want it any other way. Okay, maybe a little less dirty!
I LOVE that picture!
ReplyDeleteThat's a Kodak moment if I ever saw one.
